Require help please

I currently have FM11 and have been playing FM for a number of years now, I usually update transfers and things myself using the editor but i have never downloaded any patches or that before and would like to do that so the game is updated and i can start a season from end of Jan transfer window and just take over a club......how do i go about downloading updates and if you get all the updated transfers from Jan are you able to take over a club then rather than at the start of the season ???? any help would be appreciated thanks ps : i use disc rather than steam .....

Unfortunately you still start from the beginning of the season mate. There should be a section on this site under downloads that will let you get all the patches. Would recommend uninstalling the game and re oing it through steam though as it does it automatically

no worries mate , might do that then only prob i have with getting updates and then starting at beginning of season is it isnt realistic for instance andy carroll would never had signed for liverpool at start of season for 35m as he would not have had played any top flight games yet and obvioulsy it was from start of season til jan that he managed to gain such a massive price tag !!!!

I think someone put up a custom database that started in January.....maybe have a search for that
