Reserve/B Squad problems

Okay so I've tried searching for this, and havent quite gotten an answer that works...

I'm playing as Marbella, and have just managed to get promoted into the Liga BBVA. Now Marbella has a B squad I would like to start using for players who arent quite ready to make the jump from U19 to the first team. However the B squad whilst it exists doesnt seem to be registered for any league, Is there a way to register them in the lowest league (I tried to have all the spanish leagues from top to bottom active)? Also for some reason it seems to acknowledge the B team as a feeder or associate team rather as part of the whole team, yet I am able to access them as a tab between Marbella first team and U-19/ I've gone to team settings and set it to be managed by my assistant is that why? When I look at associate teams, I have Marbella B and then a line and then Palermo which is my feeder team. Whats going on? can anyone shed some light?

Came across this thread in a search, but i have this question as well. My Ferrol team are in the liga bbva 3 years in, but no sign of my reserve team. Are they "promoted" from the amateur leagues at random?

its judged on the quality of the players. the better the players in your B squad the higher chance they have of gaining that 'random promotion' to an active league.

You could try loading death balls excellent spanish databse, it allows you to play in the tercera division and below! http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=1708

ok thanks, that makes sense, but i cant seem to find any mention of my Ferrol "B" team anywhere in the game. Other teams "B" sides come up next to their parent club when i do a search, but mine doesn't. I checked the database and Ferrol B is in there, but it doesnt seem linked to my club, at least not in the same way as others. Is this normal? Will i still get a b team eventually, or am i just out of luck?

Ferrol dont have a linked B team on my save either, maybe its something specific to that club.

well, that really ruins my plans.... haha.

maybe ill just add them with the real time editor, although ive never used it so i dont know if thats possible. thanks for your help

and also for the extended spanish league download link. I have the one for england since thats usually where i play, but I didnt even think about the other countries.
