A very poor showing from the Poppies on a cold wet February afternoon, relying on a 90th min o.g to secure the win with very little else to offer throughout the afternoon.

The FA Trophy Fifth Round saw us host Vanarama National League side Chesterfield, and it turned out to be the end of the road for the Poppies Trophy run. Going behind early on in the first half before Chesterfield put the game out of reach with 15 minutes to go in what was a comfortable victory for the visitors.

Returning to the busy league fixture list, which saw the Poppies put on a completely contrasting display from the previous game against Chesterfield. Decarrey Sherriff opening the scoring shortly after kick off with a lofted header, dropping in just inside the far post leaving the York keeper looking lost. Sherriff grabbed his 2nd of the game just after the half hour mark with his 20th of the season, before Connor Johnson headed the 3rd at the start of the 2nd half with the Poppies closing the door on any York revival
