Alright Lads Im Pretty New To This :P

Just Wondered If In Your Game You Had Ever Had A Big Name Player Retirement Through Injury?

Biggest I've Had Was On FM07 When Mikel Arteta Got Injured Against Me In The First Game Of The First Season Haha

I don't think this happens any more with 'real' players - although I think it does still happen with regens.

In FM 05, Michael Owen at Liverpool was crocked every single game I played - he had athritis!

actually it still happens, yankov, hyppia and gary neville have all retired through injury when I've played. All on different saves btw

Ive never had anyone retire from injury in my games. But remember Edgsr Davids getting banned for drug use in one of the CM games years ago.

Thanks christophermcl - but they're all quite old players nearing retirement anyways? Have you ever seen a player retire before he's 30 in 09? I thought SI had taken that out of the game, but obviously could be very wrong :)

yeah its usually old players who have an important injury and they decide to end their career, but won't etire imemdiatly leaving you wages to sign up a young and quality replacement, they'll stay and stay being paid obscenely for another year or two, bit like some guys I know at madrid, and I am not certainly talking about Guti, or about Raul, I'm taking about leeches who will stay all their ******* lives getting paid millions for nothing.

yankov as in Zlatko ? 42 year old ?

yeah
