Hello Fm-Base.
I'd like to share my two barcelona tactics with you:
the first i had success with, trying this out with arsenal. I came second in the league
losing to chelsea by only a point. i also reached the semi finals of both the champions league and fa cup.
Unfortunately i no longer have the save game so can't provide screenshots.
I'd describe the first as an adapted 4-3-3 playing with a holding midfielder,
two advanced playmakers, two inside forwards and a complete forward.
This tactic is by no means perfect and is definately a work in progress so don't expect immediate success.
Here's what the tactic looks like:

Now for the second tactic. This is where problems may occur as this
tactic has had no testing whatsoever. So if someone was willing to test then that would be great.
This is a tactic i tried to create after reading this article.

however that isn't easy as you can't put players where you'd like them.
In this tactic i'd like the wide left player slightly more central, but not
central. Like i said if someone was willing to test
this tactic then that would be brilliant.

i made it in 10.3 :D Mike's currently testing for me atm but if anyone else has used or is using, could they please leave feedback!

not very often no mate, i found that using OI's such as tight marking often leaves space for others so i didn't bother.

I didn't use shouts either but if you find some that work, just post it in here please :D by work i mean make the tactic better!
 
Testing this with Ipswich, i had to remove the corner routine i don't like using it takes the fun out of the game. Plus its hard to see how good a tactic really is. :p

Doing good, good build up play at times. 4 draws and 1 win but i have only been testing it for 5 games will be good to see the results once my players get used to this tactic.
 
Testing went good with the save with my strong team. Played 8 won 8 scored had around 58 - 65% in everygame.

So switched it to my current long term save, where i have just taken over Lazio, not the strongest in the League. Predicted 4th, got a small team be suprised if i get in the top 6.
Played 3 with my own tactic, won all 3 games 1-0, 2-0 and 2-1. But i was only getting around 49% - 52% possesion in these games.

Just played Spurs in the Champions League and won 5-2, and had 57% possesion with a 80% pass rate. Spurs have just finished runners up in the Premier League on my save too.

Gonna go bed now but will try it out more tomorrow morning. :thup:

It seems so, but i don't wanna jinx it. ;)
People have had tactics before that start of good but then stop working.:P

But i love dominating possesion , i don't care if i lose so long as i play beautiful passing and have more of the ball than the opposition.
Which this tactic certianly seems to do, so yes for me, its a good tactic. :)

Plus i have not been using the corner exploit and still scored alot of goals probably could have got a few more against Spurs if i had been using it.

So for people who don't mind using the corner exploit, i'd imagine you will get some really big wins from time to time. :)
 
just a shame nobody else seems to want to test it :/
 
I might give it a go, even though I dont like downloading tactics because I feel no accomplishment in winning with another person's tactic. But ill test it for you and give you my opinion :D.

thanks man, it really does need testing!
 
Few things I noticed.

1. The keeper needs his mentality dropped. A few times my keeper has been caught out coming out too far.

2. The AMR has no creative feeedom at all. That is almost suicide for a attacking player, especially if you are a top team (Like Barcelona XD) and have a gifted player on that flank.

3. Mentality on the full-back could be raised a bit, since it is two inside forwards the team dosent create width when they cut inside.

Also here is a screenie of a game I played against a similar level team. I am the team on the right hand side.

My opposition played a 4-4-2 and this was on a pretty big pitch size. I won 1-0, and the goal was a pretty sexy goal.

Gonna try it with another team and tell you how it goes :D.

Hi, the possesion dropped after about 3/4 games getting around 48% - 50 % , but still having some decent results, joint 2nd in the league 2 points off the top.

I'm just going to say i've edited the opening post and now i've made two tactics :)

Yeah I read the same article, been fiddling around trying to make the alternate formation and have so far failed. Gonna download yours and see how it goes.
