Hello

After not playing for a year or two I am getting into football manager again for this year.

Can someone please summarise the difference if any between the pc version of the game and FM touch for ipad, are there any differences in the two versions? Do they use different match engines or anything else useful I should know before knowing wether to purchase the pc version or the touch version.

Thanks and apologies if this has been covered before.

So is FM dead now? Never known this place to be so quiet when I played before

FM is still going strong just there is a lull in the forum. With regards to your question on FM Touch and the PC version, Touch is effectively a cut down version in terms of what you can and cannot do. The match engines are the same but the coaching, team talks etc side are not so developed in touch. Touch is effectively more for someone who just wants to dip into the game and move through seasons quickily (the full version does not have the quick result option) if required. I've found that Touch is more for those who prefer to have less overall control but still experience management on a match by match basis like in earlier versions of the game. I think buying the PC version also includes a copy of the PC Touch version for free.
