Reviving Sweden - A IFK Gothenburg story - mellosa96?s FM14 Story

In the 1980?s IFK Gothenburg was a force to be reckoned with, Winning the UEFA-CUP which was the predecessor to Europa League today they won it in 1982 and 1987. They also is one of swedens best team with being the Swedish champions 18 times, Last time they won was in 2007 but they are still a decent team but i wanna make them the best team in the world again but it won?t be easy.


I have three longtime goals but i will probably stay until i have made them the best team in Sweden and the world which will take a couple of years.


Goal #1 - Be the most successful Swedish team. As of today Malm? FF has the most titles with 17 and IFK Gothenburg is second with 15 so i only nee to win Allsvenskan twice to be even with them which shouldn't be so hard.

Goal #2 - Win the CL, This will take some time as Sweden only has one team that gets to qualify for the Champions League so if you wanna play in the CL you need to win the league, hopefully we can change that quickly.

Goal #3 - Win the WC, This is more of a trainer dream as i want to take over a national team and become a WC winner with them and same as goal #2 this will take some time ( if it will ever happen)

so there you have it! Hopefully it will be a good story and the team will be successful but you maybe will see a slowdown in posts during the next week as im entering in the Football Manager Swedish Championship and will hopefully win. but will try to play as much as possible and update as much as possible.

We strengthen the squad where it was needed and i feel like the squad is better then before i took over.

Two players joined us for a total of 485K

And the biggest and most expensive of the two was Left back Erdin Demir who joined from the Norwegian team Brann and he is a very useful player and only 22 years old which is really good. his price tag was 475K

The second player is only fifteen years old but he is the son of the Swedish legend Henrik Larsson and his name is Jordan Larsson and he will be retrained to a CAM and he has the potential to be a leading star for Allsvenskan. He joined from the Division two side H?gaborgs BK where his father used to be assistant manager. He cost us 10K

and he has turned out to be an important player for me, Impressing me and the crowd.

He is a really good crosser and has been my first pick for the left back position.

He has beaten one record so far. Being the youngest to ever score in the Allsvenskan at the age of 16 years and 66 days.

The third and one of my favorite signings so far is Mikael Dyrestam who actually left us last year but i resigned him and he has been an very important player for us since he joined.

And yes it was! we won the league with one point and with that the team is only behind Malmo with two SC-titles (Swedish Champions)
It has been a long and hard season for this young team but we stand as champions in the end.
