I was wondering if anybody else has this in the game. This happens to me to much. The game goes well, we`re the better side by far. And than all of a sudden a player decides to break the opponents legs in the 20th minute or so. He stands in front of him and bam, flying tackle out of nowhere. This is ridiculous and totally not realistic in any way. I dont see how anybody could talk this right with hidden stats etc. Every time it happens I hope I have a save nearby so I can restart the game, with all my might I just cant except such a folly in the game. I was just wandering if anybody else had this problem?

Maybe he has a hidden attribute of 20 dirtiness...Check out his personality and tell us...

It isn`t one man who does it. It happens to verity of players. And if it where a running flying tackle from behind I can accept. A black out tackle. But when you are the better side and nothing is going wrong. And than your player stand still in front of the opponent player who has the ball, and all of a sudden makes a flying kick to break your opponents knee! Not once have I seen this in the 20 years I watch football, yet in this version of FM I have seen it like 5-6 times already. Kind of ridiculous in my book.

You abslutley right...There is a move "dive in to tackle" which within the wrong legs could do what you are describing...Instruct team "stay on your feet"..That way they won't be encouraged to do so...I hope you are not using "get stuck in" which would be the answer to your question...

I`m not using these intructions, I now all the settings to influence tacklin etc. I`ve to make clear also that it doesn`t ruin my game for me. It`s just ridiculous unrealistic tackling. It also happens alot before the half time break. So if I would translate it to real football it would be like this. The game is a draw or we`re in front with a goal, and we are dominating the game. It`s the 25th minute of the game. Opponent half has the ball in the center of the field. My man stands still in front him, marking the man. And than out of the blue this man thinks, hospitalize this **** and do it good, I will take out his knee. That`s just bull. Just now my player received a red card for a flying tackle from behind in the 85th minute of the game, we were 1-0 behind and should have won the game. He receives a 4 match ban, now this I can understand.

It could be a low concentration ,it could be lack of composure...Watch carefully how the game interpret their body language...So if you see a player who would usually break under pressure and you are reading during match that by his body language he is very nerveous than you should expect him to behave irrationally...There are players with poor pressure personalities like low self-belief or spinless...Playing under pressure changes behavior and could easily cost you a game...If I see a player who single-handedly ruined my game...I would not allow him to play anymore...One time is enough,I will not give him another chance...It is especially important for goalkeepers...
