After most of there history being in the 4th tier of English Football, the Rochdale board have decided to announce that manager Keith Hill has left the club. Many Rochdale fans seem to be furious with the decision as he has lead them to the play-offs two years in a row, including a play off final in 2008 in a 3 - 2 loss against Stockport County (:))

One Rochdale fan said: This is scandolous, Hill is the best manager we've had in years and we go and sack him when the board should be sacked!!

This seemed to be the last straw as Hill lost the play-off final to North West Rivals, Stockport (:))




It seems a manager of pure class has to take charge of this Rochdale side.



Soon after Sky Sports news unveiled the news, the Rochdale fans gathered around Spotland in fury as Rookie manager, Sam Charnock has been unveiled in a news conference.

"Pathetic, I could understand if it was a good manager with good experience but this idiot, who is he"

League Cup

Rochdale 1 - 4 Sheff United (Buckley)

Didn't expect to get anything out of this game as League 2 promotion contenders was overpowered by Championship promotion contenders.

Lee Novak joins on loan from League One Huddersfield.
Good signing IMO, especially at this level.

Aldershot 1 - 1 Rochdale (Buckley)

A game we should have won but we didn't take our chances. 2 points dropped.

Rochdale 3 - 2 Cheltenham (Buckley,Topp,Townsend)

A game neither side deserved too lose and a brilliant strike from Will Buckey won it, relief was seen on Rochdale's faces when Drissa Diallo's header hit the bar in the 92nd minute!

Rochdale 1 - 2 Bury (Topp)

New signing, Bryn Halliwell was at fault for a 92nd minute for Bury that won the game as he needlessly ran out and Morrell just lobbed him, which made our unbeaten record go to pot, would have loved it if we had an unbeaten month..

unlucky with th goalie mate its so frustrating when a stupid mistake throws the game away but a decent start and some good signings too, once you get the momentum going all should be well
 
Yeah I was fumin when it happened, I wanted an unbeaten start but the performances are alot better now :)

Comfortable win, never looked like losing.:)

Morecambe 1 - 4 Rochdale (Topp 2, Jones, Kennedy)

Another 4 goals against a weak Morecambe, completely bossed the game again. .

Rochdale 5 - 0 Torquay (Topp 2, Jones, Kennedy, Price OG)

Complete domination IMO great performance, hopefully more to come.

Northampton 1 - 3 Rochdale (Topp,Novak,Kennedy)

In all fairness we didn't deserve too win but good defending and finishing provided the cutting edge today .

Rochdale 3 - 0 Hereford (Jones 2, Buckley)

Good performance, playing Gary Jones, in a more advanced position has worked brilliantly!

Darlington 0 - 2 Rochdale (Jones, Topp)

Good performance, we took our chances with regulat scorers, Jones & Topp on the score sheet yet again .

Burton 1 – 2 Rochdale (Keltie,Topp)
Scrappy performance but when Topp’s on form, we’ve always got a chance of winning.
Rochdale 2 – 0 Barnet (Kennedy,Zaaboub)
2 30 yarders won us the game, remember Javier Garrido’s free kick, well Zaaboub did and exact replica, which has now broke a record of 9 consecutive wins at this stage of the season.
Grimsby 0 – 2 Rochdale (Threlfall,Stanton)
Gonna give the goal to Stanton but on the game it’s given to Atkinson (OG) but irl it would be awarded to Stanton, so our unbeaten run goes on . . . J
Rochdale 3 – 0 Accrington (Topp 2, Kennedy)
Everyone’s on top of there game at the mo and this is showing with another great performance and another solid defensive performance.
Bournemouth 3 – 2 Rochdale (Topp,Novak)
They had the game won in the first 18mins as they lead 2 – 0, I then changed to a 4 – 4 – 2 by bringing Lee Novak on and in the 50th minute I brought it back to 2 – 2 then Molesely (sp) scores in the 70th. Gutted.

Keep at it lad. Since it's you and you beat Harry, I'll follow and comment. The only problem is your thread name. If you had stuck Charnock in there it would attract a lot more followers. Good job so far :)

Rochdale 2 - 0 Macc (Topp 2)

Anyone who is managing a lower league club, ***** Topp is a must sign, his goals again have won us the points.

Bradford 1 - 3 Rochdale (Topp 3)

Yet again ***** Topp's goals proved vital as we maintain our stay at the top of the league. If we can stay top of the league til the end of Jan things will be much better.

Lincoln 5 - 4 Rochdale (Topp 2, Dagnall 2,)

Neither side deserved too lose in what was a GREAT game but we went 2 down in 18 mins so I went alot more attacking and pulled a goal back to make it 2 - 1 but here's a screen of how the game went, I went attacking and they got us on the break, a see-saw type of game

A good win that we just scraped, could be vital

Crewe 3 - 4 Rochdale (Novak,Dawson,Topp)

We deserved too win but again, very scrappy and ***** Topp - legend ;)

Rochdale 4 - 2 Morecame (Topp 3, Buckley)

We went 2 down which seemed to spur us on to get the points, again ***** Topp is the man to think.

Didn't expect anything from this game but I'd take a 0 - 0 draw any day of the week, will improve finances aswell.

Craig Eastmond, joins on loan from Arsenal for 12months, Rochdale are listed among his favourite clubs as he enjoyed a succesful loan spell earlier in the season.

Rotherham 1 - 1 Rochdale (Smith)

Both teams had one chance and took them, fair result

Aldershot 2 - 0 Rochdale

They had two chances and took them. We didn't deserve too win so no complaints, gotta make sure we watch out for Bury and Notts.

Rochdale 1 - 2 Southampton (Buckley)

Least we can focus on the league now . .

We've gotta be really careful because we're droppin points now, and I cant work out why.. gotta watch out for Notts and Bury still, maybe some loans needed at the back and on the wings and upfront!

Full Back Richard Towell is the third signing of this January window as Sam Charnock has clearly kept his word in saying his side need to strengthen to maintain there position at the top of the table ..

Cheltenham 1 - 0 Rochdale

A much better performance didn't know how we managed to lose but when your top scorer misses 3 great chances, there can be no complaints, Frank Nouble may have to replace ***** Topp at the front in the next game, but still in need of a winger..
