Any Barcelona fan here? Just wanted to know what role should the front three MSN (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) be given to recreate Luis Enriques' Barcelona in the game. Usually, we see Messi starting at AMR position but his average position in real life is close to Suarez. This is a snapshot of Barcelona's last game against Cordoba in LIGA BBVA showing the average positions of the Barcelona players. See how close Messi (#10) is to Suarez (#9) while Neymar (#11) is a little bit far from the duo (perhaps the Inside Forward role with Support duty). This, in fact also their usual positions in most of their games. What do you think about Messi and Suarez role and duty. Thanks!

Although Messi shows in the heat map near Suarez, he starts much more deeper in the pitch and roams. It seems he's more an AP (atack duty) and Neymar a Winger (attack duty), Suarez would still be the False 9.

Suarez ST F9

Neymar AML IF(S)

Messi AMR Raumdeuter

that's how I'd go for their roles..

I think Neymar is definitely IF(s). I would consider Suarez as either CF(s) or F9(s). For me the Messi role is the harder role to define and I would personally put him in the RCAM position and give him the shadow striker role. This would allow Messi to get close to Suarez and also create the space on the right wing for Alves to run into as he often does.

yes, I agree with the concept of Messi at RCAM position with either AP(a) or Treq. role.
Thanks!
