Runtime Error killing me softly

I'm still in pre season on my first save, where I've got 5 ps matches coming up at once. I'm managing 5 different teams on various english tiers. I get to play thorugh 4 matches when a box is popping up informing me of an runtime error.

steam/2012/steamapps/common/football manager 2014/fm.exe is the message.:'(

Donno why 2012 is there, but anyway what can I do to fix it?

I've now made it through the pre season games mentioned in the first box, with all the 5 teams, by changing from GPU assisted to Software in Preferences. Thinking I've finally managed to fix this issue I now I get FM running dangerously low on memory.

Anyone able to help a man in need here? Appreciated in advance!
