never played with either. sokratis' stats are better but samba seems to get good reviews

What season? If 1st or 2nd Sokratis will be 40 million+, Samba's quality but is much older and cheaper but still 15 mil.

go with the samba beat. cheap (idealy) and is quaily.

Go with Sokratis for longevity.

Samba without a question, at least for me.
He's been selected in Team of the Year in my Villa save in first season, and has been the best PL center back.
A great player with great stats, animal in defence, and can score a lot of goals from corners (my 3rd goalscorer ).
