From Champions League to Serie B in a season, truly the definition of mismanagement. No re investment of the new revenue what so ever then because the chairman rowed with Cassano over dinner he has to go? Logic says you sell your two top players mid season then its not looking good. The fans attacked the training ground, the team bus and sent dead animals to the players houses for their recent displays. The 2-1 home defeat to Palermo yesterday sealed their fate, unbelievable fall from grace.

Massive fall from grace for them. Macheda hasn't done too well there and it's obvious why.

Big loss for Serie A but they'll be back sooner rather than later.

Its unbelievable that they went from something like 4th to 18th.

Bit like Hertha Berlin last season! Qualified for the Europa League but then was like rock bottom for most of the season, fortunately they bounced back well and will be back up on the Bundesliga next season. You just feel sorry for mid-table teams who fight so hard for a european competition spot but end up playing like ***** on two fronts the next season.

If Palombo jumgs ship they desperately need to hang on to Poli I mean they are all they have left with any kind of top level quality. Sky Sports Italia genuinely likened them to West Ham because of their passionate fans, regular capacity attendance, 'wrong' manager and likened Palombo and Poli to Parker and Collison. oO)

I don't think Palombo will be going anywhere...

You never know with their chairman and selling players. I bet Pazzini didn't want to leave either to be fair... definitely need to rebuild next season.

Should have appointed Lee, he won the league with the same group of players on FM.

they need to pull a Juventus early 2000's, they need to try and retain as many of their main players as possible and just realise it is a bit of a setback and they will definately win the Serie B if they can retain 80% of the 1st team!

club loyalty will hopefully prevail...

:O big shock wow they must have had an awfull season

That will be difficult, but I imagine that Angelo Palombo will be one of the biggest priorities on their list. I am surprised that they were relegated, and thought they were European contenders at one point. But this is football.

They are actually about to be relegated on my current save first season...along with bologna

If anyone was to stay, it would be Palombo. Loyal to a fault, and the fans adore him.

Fair enough, I meant the allure of top European clubs and that would be especially the point with newly-crowned Serie A champions, A.C. Milan and their rivals Inter. A battler in the midfield for Neurazzuri is just what they may need ahead of the new season, and Palombo is the man to do it.

Let alone this in interest from Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and possibly Liverpool.

I thought they could of won the Serie A this season, if they had performed well - I was thinking of managing them on FM! But it just shows how funny this season's been.
