From Essex To Italy

Following the departure of manager Dellio Rossi, Palermo were quick to announce the capture of the very athletic Essex-born James Corden .
The Palermo chairman saw Corden's emotional team-talk to the England National squad and immediatley told Rossi to "Pees Off" so Rossi went home and cried.

The Palermo players aren't bothered that Rossi has gone and striker Fabrizio Miccoli has said he can't wait to see Corden after seeing the naked picture of him on Google.

"I can not wait to work with Mr. Corden, he's so fit, and I can't wait to work with him, it'll be greattttt"

good luck samuel, Serie A is the best league on fm, just won it with catania dude. miccoli is a god on that game, signed him for 7 mil, worth every penny

Corden brings in few faces at Rossanero!​


  • Martin Petrov - Corden indicated that he wanted to strengthen the Left Wing position and he snapped up Manchester City left winger Martin Petrov on loan for the rest of the season for 450K.
  • Mahamadou Diarra - Diarra wil bring vital experience to a Palermo side who are without a midfielder who has height, athletism and a very good defensive midfielder. Diarra has joined Palermo on a 725K loan fee from Real Madrid.​
  • Lee Won-Jae & Ian Walker - Won-Jae and Walker sign to strengthen the goalkeper's position.​

Fabrizio Miccoli's 78th minute strike salvaged a point for Palermo.​



- James Corden's first game in charge of Palermo ended in a result that every Palermo fan would be satisfied with, Palermo were unfortunate not to beat Fiorentina as Adrian Mutu header opened the scoring from just 6 yards out, but when the game looked dead and buried, a great goal Fabrizio Miccoli earned Palermo a point on the first game of the season. - ​

Edinson Cavani - inspired Palermo to a 3 - 1 win over Bari​



A dominant win for Palermo in a game they never looked like losing, despite a Miccoli missed penalty, Palermo had many chances to put the game out of sight as they had many chances but a brace from Edinson Cavani and Fabrizio Miccoli helped Palermo manger James Corden for his first win out of 2.​

The up and coming derby vs Palermo and Catania provided Catania Mihaljovic manager Sinisi Mihaljovic, to provide some down-hearted comments about rookie gaffer James Corden with a "We are more than capable of beating you". Corden then got really angry and provided Mihaljovic with a compliment, a compliment that he has magical powers to get Catania relegated. This provided a lot of taste going into the derby, and it was down to the players to do the talking.

Without Niclos Bertolo; the match could have been so different​



Palermo 4 - 2 Catania


With Palermo doing the talking on the pitch it was Niclos Bertolo who was the star of the show with 3 goals which inspired Palermo to back up there manager's comments and shut Mihaljovic up which will certainly make Corden feel delighted inside.
Bertolo's first goal was a belter, with him cutting inside and smashing home from 20 yards, from then on Palermo were rampant with Palermo taking a 3 - 0 lead, but when manager James Corden went on 'Facebook' his team conceded 2, so Corden brought on youngster Abel Hernandez for his debut and scored the 4th on the 90 minute.

Have you noticed the Italian league has smaller month's as in you play less game's each month? In England you can have up to 9 in 1 Month, all seem to be short in Italy. I like it :)

Yeah I have.
In August I had just two and in September I've had about 4, yeah different, but I prefer it :)
 
Martin Petrov is a threat to any right back, he can rip apart defences, keep it up

 Celtic winger Aidan McGeady has completed his move to Palermo for a £15M fee, he was a fan favourite at Celtic but McGeady admitted the time was right to move and prove himself at a higher stage. "When an offer to leave Celtic comes across I normally never even think about it, but when Palermo came across, I thought about it and I felt the time was right to take a challenge at a higher level."
