I've restarted a save with Spurs. In my last Spurs save I gave Sandro some opportunities but lost patience with him quite quickly. Luckily Palacios was my rock for 8 years, and I bought Moussa Sissoko! This time I have decided to give Sandro another go, but I am almost through my first season and he still isn't performing as well as I think he should, he probably averages about 6.7. I've looked at all of his stats and everything tells me he should be a decent player. Is it a case of giving him another season?

How do you play him? From my experience with similar players, he plays best as a MC Ball Winning Midfielder or DMC Anchor man...

just remember it is his first season hey... (he signed Jan 2009) I think, give him another season, he is a good player..

where and how do you play him?

That's how I play him. I have him set to defensive, low creativity, short passing, stay back etc. There's been quite a few times I've played him alongside Palacios for double protection, but he still gets a low rating.

I think he doesn't need some special tweaking, just a regular anchor man or ball winning midfielder, what is your tactic, do you play with 3 MC's or 2 DMC's or what? And yes you should give him another season or two...

I usually play 4-4-2 or 4-1-3-2 with Sandro just in front of the defence. To be honest I want to sign Sissoko again. I got him in my last Spurs save, but not until he was about 26 and he'd picked up lots of bad habits, like running around like a headless chicken and being out of position, and shooting everytime he got the ball. But I will keep Sandro as well.

You should stick to playing him as an anchor man in the easy fixtures during your first season (I never played him as a ball winning midfielder because I felt he was less effective there). He gets really good after the first season.
