Okay I need some tips to improve my tactics. I want as you can see to play narrowly and exploit the middle. In tactic 2 (Schalka) I wanted the rb to be defensive while the lb is more going forward cause i think Fuchs is better at going forward than Uchida. These tactics are similiar tho but I'd like some expert advice.
As you can see I started okay in the friendlies but when I went against stronger teams (Guingamp wtf) I could keep up with them.

edit: changes the am's to ap in tactic 1 and am winning napoli 2-0 at halftime.

is the tactic fluid yet? i doubt it give it more time! your players wont be playing to there best as its only a friendly just keep at it!

Yeah true, hopefully it will start working better when fluid. If not, then I may need some advice. I was really just asking in the starting thread if there was something I was doing wrong and what team instructions/player roles could be changed.

yh i understand what your saying i dont really no the schalke team sorry dude it look ok atm

Personally I hate this formation. If I can offer any advice it would be to go wider. Use Farfan as a winger, Draxler as inside Forward and Boateng as AM. Huntelaar as TM on support. Thats really the only role ive been able to get the best out of him because of his shocking lack of pace.

So Schalke are my favorite FM team, and the one I've had the most success with. Huntelaar is obviously the key to getting things rolling, and I think I had him scoring more than a goal a game for about three years, until his stats really started to decline.

Here are a few tips. Huntelaar is too slow to lead the line alone, so you need him coming into the box late to finish everything off. The only way to accomplish this is to play with 2 strikers. Szalai is not as bad as he seems. I bought Timo Werner, who turns into a beast of mythical proportions.

The best formation is probably 4-2-4 with farfan and draxler on the wings. boateng can be played cm, as he gets forward anyway. Fuch's and aogo are so good going forward that look for overlap is probably worth using. Also draxler and farfan are great dribblers and fast, so run at defense is worth having, although keeping this shout on when away to big teams may result in too much loss of possession.

When the AI begins to work out how to exploit you tactic, drop a CM back and make him a HB, and convert you fullbacks to wingbacks. They will bomb forward and use their great crossing to create opportunities (hunterlaar is actually a brilliant header) and neustadter will drop deep and play as a cm, while matip and howedes will naturally move wide to provide cover for the wingbacks.

Anyway, this should get you started. Good luck, played properly, schalke should be bullying bayern in no time.

Also, the main thing you need to accomplish in the transfer market is to get a competent goalkeeper ASAP. You don't have one right now that is good enough. Zieler is brilliant, and pretty cheap, but get someone, and you'll be bullying bayern in no time!
