Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson reveals he talked Paul Scholes out of retiring.

Genius man.. hopefully Scholes, Giggs and Neville all retire next season after we hit 20 League titles!

I think neville we be kcked out before he decides to leave, he wll never give it

Paul Scholes, in my opinion one of the top 10 players to play in the premier league. He is fantastic.

I bet it took a lot to convince him.

"I'm quitting, Alex."
"Stay for the fans."
"Ok."

Paul Scholes has always been regarded as a top world-class player, both by Manchester United and by England while on international duty.Ferguson persuading him out of retirement was an ingenious plan,to be honest,by the Scotsman, and it proved so with his goal vs. Manchester City in the 1-0 victory.

Scholes should retire from the game once United have reached 20 league titles, like DMF mentioned, but should be careful that he doesn't go out of the game like Zidane...

oh wait.

Zinedine Zidane:"My toughest opponent? Scholes. He is undoubtedly the greatest player of his generation",
