am going for 2010 optimist here. :)

We have so many good young players coming in, I think the Scotland team is moving in the right direction now.

Lets get Euro quals over and done with first :P

Doubt we hav a chance in them seeing as we have Italy, France and Ukraine but if we get a couple of new Scotland regulars out of it at least and a few of the younger players now gettin expereince and showing promise then we can think about WC :D

Nobody cares about scotland. As a nation it's ***** at football. Especially when it's biggest player is Darren Fletcher rofl. I'm going for 2022 'cos it's gonna need a long, long time.

Where's the "none of the above" option?

Joking aside, i went for 2014, but have no idea really.:)

I went for 2018, can't see them getting into a world cup anytime soon. Their biggest chance would be to get into Euro champs tbh.

why can we get in euros but not wc, you do know its euro teams in WC qual groups

2010. Walter Smith seems to have restored some shape to the team and with the young players coming through there is hope for the first time in a while.

With Gordon in goals

Defence of Hutton Smith Webster Anderson
Midfield of Ferguson Fletcher Maloney Burke.
Forwards of Boyd and Naismith.

Throw in the young players at Utd Celtic Hearts and Hibs with Adam of Rangers and a few Motherwell players there is hope there.

Just a pity that McGready picked ROI when he is from Glasgow. I know FIFA have over-turned the boy McLean ex rangers now motherwell so he is available for Scotland.

Motherwell ! ha dont make me laugh they have no talent except Elliot and he isnt there player. I have went for 2014 i think 2010 is to soon but by 2014 we will have a squad with great experience. FM Base prob isnt the place to have one of these threads as the English dont care unless it involes them and some dont have a clue about Scottish footie (not there fault) but comment anyway.

i dont fink scotland will ever get into world cup again cos ther ***** lol..ther isnt an option for 2096 so i wont bother answering. i agree with adam and the superstar darren fletcher is your best player lmao  stick to ya haggis!!!

Your funny, typical english

Ok,i think given Darren fletchers past couple of matches,Scotland will get relegated

Scotland's World cup fate will be very much linked to who manages them and how the new academy works or not. Scotland have hundreds of ex-players who could benefit the national side and the academy, but will the SFA employ them or some GURU WHO HAS NEVER KICKED A BALL AT THE REQUIRED LEVEL. I know nothing about how the academy will work, so only time will tell. Qualification is not enough. They may qualify for 2010 but if they come home before the knockout stages again then they will not achieved anything. The question is can Scotland progress past the qualifying stages?

and the answer is...doubtful. Not in 2010 anyway although they could easily beat England atm.

nah, sorry Blob, but qualification for a major tournament is good enough for Scotland at the minute

i went for a bit of 2018.....don't rekon they'll do it in 2010 and prob **** up or sumit in 2014!!

And even though they may have some good youth so do the other countries,,,,just rekon they'll get better but still miss out!!
