Scottish Division 1 HELP!!

I am in my third season with East Fife. I got promoted to the first division after season 1 and I managed to finish sixth after my second season but into the third I have strengthened my squad further and I seem to be playing the worst I have played ever. Anyone got any ideas what I can do to keep a successful squad playing well?

maybe they need some time to gell, how many players did you buy?

Six but I was only replacing older players or ones that had ran out of contract.
