Hi guys

I was just wondering what you do, listen to your scouts or judge a player yourself.

I tend to listen to my scouts but sometimes I do it myself when I saw one of my scouts at Hull first season gave Messi a 3 star recommendation

What do you do?

Always a scout report even if I know his potential as I also like to know the price I can get the player for.

I let my scouts do most of the searching, but one or two times a season I go through the statistics of the U20 and U18 leagues plus the youth setups of different nations. When it comes to signing a young player I still make the final decision. For example if a 16 year old regen has several key technical attributes over 10-12 the chances are he'll become a quite good player. But in case of players aged 20 and more I'll ignore what the scout says about his ability and potential and make my decision purely on the players attributes and if possible past attributes.

DIY every time. I would spent 6 hours looking through players before hitting continue. I leave no stone unturned

I do it myself in the sense that I go a find future and star players or use my knowledge about football in real-life to determine how to find a player,in which I am able to then search around those guidelines in finding the correct player.I don't use scouting as in searching a particular part of the world unless I am absolutely desperate to and rather just do it myself,or rather, how you've put it,D.I.Y.

So,yeah,D.I.Y.

I look around for myself, but I use the scouts to get prices, loan availability, etc...

I let my scouts tell me about their hidden attributes and expected price, I do the rest

Im a bit crazy with transfers myself, buy usually around 16 players in the summer

I send tonneds of scouts but only trus a min of 18 in potential and ability scouts
