Just scouted a 17yr old wonderkid the current ability says 3.5 stars and potential is 4stars i really dont get that for a 17 yr old (how can a 17 yr old be playing at that ability at such a young age and they are only saying he has room to grown 0.5 of a star). With scout reports the difference between current and potential are they basically saying they are only going to improve that much??

Also whats the difference between getting a report card only, For 3 matches or get from scouting pool???

Thanks

Match reports can show you how consistent they are, how they play against big teams etc.
Report cards accuracy really depends on the JA/JP of your scouts.

Get 20/20 and eliminate the possibility of signing a disappointment.

The player could have really low ambition, determination, sportsmanship and professionalism, and low natural fitness, which would mean he couldn't become much better than he's generated as. Also, check for a huge injury, if he's got a broken leg (or has had a broken leg) that could be why.

Also, who are you playing as, what is your scout's JA and JP, how well do they know the country he's from, these are all important things that determine how good your scout will tell you a player will become.

Ive got a 20/20 i just dont get how a 17yr old can be playing at 3 stars and only have the potential of 4??

Everton. The scout i chose to scout him is 20/20. No injury. But aside from that a general question if a scout scouts someone and their CA is say 3 stars and their PA is 4stars are they only limited to grown within a 1 star bases ?? :S

Well, one star isn't really that much info. It depends on your squad. If you're winning the premier league, snap the dude up, 4 stars is really good. But just 1 star of improvement isn't that much info. Sometimes, however, players hit their peak early. Just look at Micheal Owen, for one example. Player could have just developed well early on, and not have much developing left to do, given the rigidness of the PA.

So the difference between CA and PA is how much they will improve? can they not exceed the PA ?
