I have the same problem everytime i play.

I start my career in the BSS usually as thurrock. I build a decent team enough to secure a top half finish, but the problems comes with season two. The players i have on a one year contract all seem to want more money to stay. But being in the BSS i seem to have money problems normally -£150,000 in the red and very close to my wage budget. So i normally let these players go. I normally wait untill there contract runs out as i dont want to pay them off. But by the time i have let the contracts run out all other teams around have already brought in a lot of players, leaving only a few decent players which my scouts never seem to find.

What are your approches to the second season. How do you let players go and when do you start buying new players (When your players are still on there break or when your board have announced the new budget)

All your help is aprieciated.

i think at that level alot of the contracts are rolling. so the new players you have alot will take this type of contract. So no end date just release them when they are no longer needed at no cost. Altho you do run the risk of the better ones being poached and you wouldnt receive a transfer fee

How do you do a rolling contract, the players i offer a contract to request a part time contract.

The part time contracts are the rolling ones i think (im on my work comp so dont have fm on in front of me so i might be wrong).

The 'Rolling Contracts' are the "Non Contract" option - you don't pay players a weekly wage you just pay them appearence money...only problem with this is they can leave whenever they want for no fee (so not great for promising young players!)
