get it on steam and never have this problem :)

Everybody has the right to make a decision with which format they purchase the game with. Your post isn't really helping otherwise so I'm wondering why you'd make it in the first case, except being a jerk.

You need the Manual mate....did you get the dvd drive sorted on your laptop?

There is no other way to get a serial code

hang on a second foss, and calm down. if he can get the game he has onto steam, he wont need a code for it cos it will always be there. im trying to help. now you stop being a jerk.

you could try messaging SI and see if theres any info you could send them to get the code?

Surely you can go through your program files and look for any wordpad documents, it will be in one of them somewhere.

Start > My Computer > C: > Program files > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2011.. Just scan through them.

Do you have any friends who have the game that dont register with steam?

If you genuinely paid for the game and lost your booklet then your friend will know this, he could give you his booklet with his code on it as long as when you find your lost booklet you give it to him. This wouldn't be stealing as you both spent 30 quid on the disc, right? Register his booklet number with steam, find your booklet and give it to him and you're just swapping games effectively.

Nobody is going to give you a number over the internet. How the **** do you lose the booklet though?

You're being idiotic, why would he buy the game again if he supposedly has a physical copy?

but to register it on steam i need the manual with the serial code i have it installed on my p.c so i shud be able to retrieve the code from somewhere on the p.c

SIGH, im not suggesting buying it again! for gods sake man! :@ i mean like triv is saying, if he can get it onto steam he wont need the code again even if he loses the manual! god damnit!

Well to be fair, that may be the only option. Either that, or have a good hunt for it.

If you have to rebuy it, make sure you keep the case + booklet safe!

crumpy if you have installed it on your PC and you have done the registration, contact sega, becuase they will be able to check that you have got a legal copy, and they will be able to help you retrieve or get a key

He wouldn't need the serial key unless he's uninstalled the game in the first place, which he hasn't mentioned if he has.

I can have a look through mine when I get home from work. I've done this with Microsoft Office and such programs, it's either in a Word Document or in a .xml file.

Probably not, unless the company has been really sloppy. You'd find it in an encrypted file or somewhere in the registry, but not in a flat file like that.
