CARLOS CORBET IS ANNOUNCED SEVILLA'S NEW COACH

Sevilla's chairman, José María Del Nido announced this morning the signing of Corbet as their new coach, this agreement links Carlos for two years to his beloved club with the objective of qualifying Sevilla fc for Champions League next season.

As you may know, Corbet was a formal Sevilla FC member who grew up in "Nervión" breading his team colors. He started playing futsal at the age of 7, five years later, his unquestionable skills made him defend Sevilla's shirt for the youngster team, making a name of himself as an attacking midfielder. In the season 1994/1995 Corbet made his debut while Luis Aragonés was coaching the team, in that season Sevilla FC made the qualification for the UEFA Cup, but a year later, with the team inmersed in a deep crisis, a horrible tackle left Corbet injured on his left knee, after trying getting over it for a few years, Corbet decides to pick up his football boots (1997) and start coaching.

As a coach, Carlos was still as succesful as a player and after training diferent teams in Sevilla and Andalucía, he decided taking the bigger step... coaching the team of his heart... Sevilla FC!!

EVALUATING CORBET

Sevilla's fans are excited with signing of Corbet, since the team didn't make it to the Champions League with Gregorio Manzano (finishing 5th) they see in Corbet a new chance, a coach with attitude to push his squad to the top.

Corbet's favourite tactic

Carlos usually uses 4-4-2, 4-5-1 and 4-4-1, but he prefers 4-4-2 above any other tactic, combining solid defence with a counter attacking playing style, wingers are going to be essential for Carlos.

No more summer transfers

Carlos is not going to request any other transfer since the squad seems very solid although he only has two forwards Kanouté and Negredo, so he might give some opportunities to the japanease Hiroshi Ibusuki from the youngster team Sevilla Átletico.

Hehe thanks! but challenging the big 2 is not my priority this season:

1. Make it to "Champions League" (finishing at least 4th)
2. Getting as far as possible in Europa league
3. Getting as far as possible in Copa del Rey

But who knows what a team can achieve!!
