BREAKING NEWS

It has just been comfired that Alan Shearer has retired from international and club football. Derek Wright the cheif physo at Newcastle United has told Porter that it will be 9 - 12 months before he will play football again. Shearer39, who suffered that horrific injury at the world cup quarter finals against Germany, as told the NUFC website that " I do not hold any grudges towards Phillip Lahm, that is football. I would like to thank everybody who gave me some of the most wonderful memories in the game. After much thought and consideration i have decided to retire from the game".

Shearer who started his trade at league one side, Southampton played 158 time, scoring 43 goals he then moved to Blackburn Rovers for a then british record signing at 3.3m. where he won the EPL in 1993, playing 171 games and scoring a whopping 130 goals, for that, Newcastle broke a then, World transfer record when he signed for his hometown club Newcastle United. Alan played 404 games, breaking the all time club record for most goals scoring an incredible 206 goals, although he never won silverware for the club, he is prehaps the greatest player to play for Newcastle United and is idolised in the nort east. Shearer who is the oldest outfield player to play for England at the world cup played 63 times for his country scoring 30 goals.
