Seriously this means absolutely nothing to my wingers

for example Raheem Sterling will cut inside, the oppositions defenders have left Suarez un marked to tackle Sterling and Surez is free for the pass but no Sterling decides to shoot from outside the box...

This happens way to often, whats the point in setting the instructions?
im sure it does cut them down but not enough!

I play a 4-2-4 formation, My two wingers are vital primarily for shooting. At the start of the season they were great averaging 1.3 goals a game, now I'm in January they just can't shoot. It's as if they've been brainwashed and it's ultimately cost me losing points. I don't know what's actually happened. :(

I played Willian False 9 with Shoot less often, he doesn't have shoots from distance PPM. His analysis had 7 long shots, 13 total shots! Whenever he touched the ball, he took a shot, heh.

I think it's more 'cause of F9 role, any player playing in that role seems to take absurd long shots. But still, the instruction doesn't seem to work too well.

What is Sterling's decision stat? If it is low then it is logical as to why he'd shoot instead of pass.

But in regards to the actual instruction then yes, it is useless. For wingers I always find them beating their man running inside and popping off silly shots from tight angles when my striker/cm/winger is in a perfect position to score. So I tell them to shoot less often and they still crack these illogical shots off when passing/crossing is clearly the better choice. I hope it is patched soon because it is frustrating.
