Shortlist Issues

I've noticed that players on my shortlist are being snapped up by other teams (Mostly rivals!) without me being notified on my news screen, meaning i'm losing out on some great prospects. I've only just noticed it, but I know on every other Footy manager I would be notified. I've had a check around and can't see any option to fix it.

Anyone having any similar issues? Is it part of the game now or is there an option to change anywhere? Any help much appreciated
