Should I sign Chicharito

Hi mates Im currently managin Spurs im in october of my 1st season my team is doing very well and im holding 1st position in EPL, meanwhile Man.United are doing suprisangly bad they are 13th, lots of their players are unhappy and i manage to unssetele Chicharito with my coments and they accepted my 7M offer for him and he accepted contract but my question is: should i do the deal? From my past United save i know tht he works great whit partner upfront, but i play 4-2-3-1 and my lone striker J.Defoe is great(10apps,7 goals,7assists) so icould rotate this two but would Chico do well as a lone poacher does any1 have experience with him in that role?
please post your suggestions


PS:this question is also about tactic thats why i didnt post it in deal or no deal thread
 
In a lone striker role I very much doubt Hernandez will be as effective as he is when playing with a partner, I'd suggest you dont go by name but go by people who will actually do well in ur tactic :)
 
Hernandez is possibly the best poacher in the game once you've taught him to place his shots in the corner and break the offside trap.

He really is unstoppable.. Definitely sign him if you get the chance and use a Poacher in your tactic.
 
i am managing manu and i am in my 4th season. first season he played 17 games and scored 22 goals and 4-6 assists. he was playing lone st (my poacher setup- i always convert to classic). after first season i sold him because i signed hulk,rossi and neymar and turned my formation to 352. he played barça for 3 years and he always scored more than 20 goals. (sold 32mill $)

he is absolutely better than defoe my friend. just teach him- places shots and moves into channels(he already has offside trick) and just watch him burn!
 
Without a doubt get hernendes, to be honest I have never seen defoe do any good on this years FM, and I am surprised he is doing that well for you, like DMF said, sign him (7million is a bargain to be honest) and then teach him to place shots in corner and break offside trap.

You will then see how good he actually is
 
anyone wanna share their lone poacher setup please? i feel its hard to get lone poacher to score, playing 4-2-3-1 with supporting fullbacks, inside forwards treq, and ballwinner - Deep lying playmaker, any help plz? ;b

CM: Ball winning midfielder defend/support depends on opponent
CM: Box to Box midfielder support
AM: Any of the roles i'm yet to find the best
AMR: Inside Forward Attack

my team is Joe Hart, Gareth Bale, Phil Jones, Mamadou Sakho, Kyle Walker / Two regens in Central Midfield/ Lennon and Neymar inside forwards/ Ishak Belfodil striker.


Lennon, Bale, and Belfodil are absolute gods.

2017-2018

Bale - 35 apps 3 goals 22 assists Avr 7.60
Lennon - 29 Apps 11 goals 7 assists Avr 7.29
Belfodil 37 Apps 35 goals 5 assists 7.62 avr (in total he has 96goals in 92 appearances for spurs)

he has 19 strength so he is not a typical small poacher, but is super effective and fast (16pace) none the less!

Starting Strategy - standard
Passing style - more direct
Creative freedom - more disciplined
Closing down - press more
tackling - more aggressive
marking - man marking
crossing - drill crosses
roaming - stick to position


then edit advanced player roles, i give my creative players e.g Neymar a lot of creative freedom, tell my bad tacklers not to tackle hard,
