Showing onto weaker foot question.

Sometimes my assistant manager will tell me to show a player onto his weaker foot but my question is this:

Is there a difference between selecting 'show onto weaker foot' and going into his profile and selecting which foot to show him onto?

For instance, if I go into a player's profile and it tells me that his strongest foot is his right, is there a difference between me choosing to show show him onto his left foot or choosing to show him onto his weaker foot? Just doesn't seem to make sense to me.

There is no difference. The purpose of this is to show players either inside or down the line.

For example if you are playing a left footer on the left wing, showing him on his weaker foot will show him inside. However you can choose to show him on his left foot to keep him going on the outside. This would be a good tactic if you are weak in the middle of the park.
