Shrewsbury Town - second season

Hi guys, following a successful first season which ended with play off glory v Accrington at Wembley i raided clubs for freebies and am surviving second season just about, currently sitting 19/24.

Crystal Palace are bottom of league 1 and heading for league 2 so i have attacking midfielder Ambrose in sight for attacking options just wondering if anyone could give me a few names of players who could get me into the championship. Im quite strong in centre midfield but need a clinical striker and maybe 2 new centre backs ?

Any advice regarding any position whatsoever would be really appreciated, my formation is the 4-4-2 diamond with play focussed mainly on balls throught the middle.

Whats your transfer and wage budget? or are you looking for free agents ?

Yeah mainly free agents mate, anyone really who would improve the squad. Maximum fee would be around £500'000 in my opinion.

It's close to the end of the season and i am more or less guarenteed to survive the drop so it's time to push on and improve

I suggest you look at the young players that the premier league clubs release Arsenal and Man Utd always release good players, however make sure they have been released before you offer them a contract as you would have to pay compensation if they are not released yet. Michael Misfud is always a good free agent signing and scores plenty of goals particularly if paired up front with Simoen Jackson from Gillingham ( can normal be bought for around £500,000 ). Together for they are deadly up front and score loads of goals. Hope this helps
