I am just about to start my 3rd season as PSG and have Managed to sign Leo Messi.
Every year the first challenge I set myself after buying the new football manager is trying to sign Messi before he turns 29 and I have to say this year is the easiest but also the hardest (trust me it makes sense). Here's how I singed him and also how to sign him for your team before he turns 30+
First off he's expensive. Look at the fee I had to pay, LOOK AT IT!

Second HES' EXPENSIVE. Look at this ridiculous contract I had to offer him. The 300k a week isn't to bad it's more the appearance fee, the goal bonus, the stupid length and the fact he gets 50% of whatever I eventually sell him for.

Thirdly, and most importantly, Your clubs stature in the world. You have to make your club higher ranked than Barcelona. This is where luck plays a huge part as I won 2 league titles, the europa league and the Champions league in my first 2 years but Barcelona won nothing so there rep dropped below mine.

Forth and sadly for anyone hoping to sign him for an English, German, Russian or Italian team. He wont sign for you if your team is from any of those countries. Ever. look at the bottom left of this screen shot and you will see he has a preference to never play in any of those leagues. This doesn't make him impossible to sign but it means your only realistic chance will be when he becomes a Dinosoaur and Barcelona release him.

Finally here he is proudly wearing the PSG shirt and only 28 years of age. I expect a 60 goal season at the worst.

At the start of my post I claimed FM 2014 was the easiest and also the hardest game to sign Messi so far, here's why. It is the easiest because of the outrageous transfer budget PSG get. 230 million pounds at the start of the second season to be precise, the most by far I have ever seen in any game from the FM series, with a bit of luck like I had messi isn't to difficult to acquire. It is also the hardest game by far because unless you go PSG it is almost impossible. Real Madrid, Chelsea and Man City are the only other clubs with enough money but he doesn't want to play in England and **** will freeze over before Messi becomes a madridista.
I'd love to see and hear anyone else's experience of trying to sign the little genius. Any claim of a successful signing however should be accompanied with a screen shot or expect your credibility to be questioned and also enquires into if you even lift.
Ps. this is my first post on these forms, I hope I have posted this in the right place and look forward to discussing all things football manager with you all.
Regards, James.
