Signing old players as tutors

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone recommends against signing old players to keep them purely as a tutor when you are a big team. I have Lampard and Ferdinand and I'm thinking of signing Forlan. Would they mind if I dont register them?

I do it all the time, but they will start to complain (depending on their personalities) usually about half way through the season if you don't play them.

But I sign 1-2 veterans every year for tutoring purposes only, it's the only way to properly develop young players.
