Signing players who will not open contract discussions

just wondering if anybody has ever signed a player who previously would not open transfer discussions but when they get promoted they can as i am playing in the championship and players will not open discussions with me even though ive got the money to pay their wages but im hoping it will be differnent if i get promotion to premiership

Yeah I've signed players like that with a Gloucester file and with Liverpool, if you end up doing well they should go to you eventually.
