Signing up for backroom staff?

Right i've seen that in the recent update after Roy Keane was sacked from Ipswich i was able to approach him and i guess that means sign him in a position like Assistant or Coach.

But what would it take to sign them so they don't exactly go for another managing job?

And has anyone done this?

Some managers simply won't accept a job as Assistant or Coach, no matter how much money you offer, and aside from using the editor to change this - there's no way you can make them.
