Hi,

I’m just thinking about how to play with Solihull Moors. Looking at my squad I would prefer a 4-4-2
In detail:
Goalie: Defend
2x CD: Defend
2x Full back: Automatic
CM: Defend
CM: Automatic
2x Wide Midfielder: Attack
Advanced Forward: Attack
Deep Lying forward: Support

Is this too simple fort hat divisiom or would other formations be too hard to play because of weaker players?
As I heard most teams in lower divisons play like that. A disadvantage?
What do you suggest?

Regards Goll

guess, Full backs on support, CM defend changed to a ball winner, other CM changed to Support,

keep it simple when you dont have very good players,

Full backs on support means more offense and less defense?!
What's the differnce beetween "automatic" and "support"?

Oh I forgot: What about the theory to play another formation, as many teams in LL already play 4-4-2.
Makes sense?

automatic = balance movement
support = players will roam from their position and help forward if it necessary
attack = like you've said, more offense and less defense
defense = you know about this so well <)

Well in the Lower leagues a 442 is the way to go. Offcorse you can try other formations, a 451 is also the bomb. You can have a look at my 442 HERE
