Something Strange

I'm playing the Global Free Agent Challenge for a lark and I chose Real Madrid. I figured they're a worldwide club with great finances, why not? Well it turns out that no top level players are willing to sign with me (won't even talk contract) except for Daniele De Rossi. Once I sign De Rossi, suddenly just about everyone becomes available to me. Has anyone ever had something like this happen? Any ideas as to why? I haven't tried the challenge with any other clubs so I don't know what the deal is but given that Real attract some of the biggest names in football on a regular basis and have for decades, I'm kind of shocked.

What's your previous experience set at? If you're something like Semi-pro then maybe the players think it's too risky as you're unknown. However, when you managed to sign De Rossi it convinced others to give you a chance as signing a big name makes you look good.

I'm set as an ex-international from Germany. It's really kind of queer that nobody wants to sign.
