Eto'o was accused of missing a training session and showing indiscipline to coach Javier Clemente when the player disputed a substitution during the game.

He has been cleared of the charges.

Of course he was. Cameroon's football federation wouldn't dare do anything against their wonder boy. Pretty corrupt system really.

Of course. If Eto'o wasn't there, Cameroon wasn't there. They can't do anything without him, that's why.

That's a ridiculous assumption. They've had to deal with his tantrums, his bad discipline and his sulking, to the point where they've even had to name him captain. What kind of message does that send out to the team, to the youngsters? They can try all they want, be as eager and well-behaved as they want, but Eto'o will still be picked. It's time for them to wean themselves off Eto'o; they have other forwards such as Webo, Idrissou and Emana, and a whole crop of youngsters likes Aboubakar and Beleck, not to mention people like Maxim Choupo-Moting. Eto'o isn't bigger than his country, no way at all.
