Here's a 4-2-3-1 that combines the best bits of the best tactics to form a juggernaut. High goals, high assists, strong defense, works crazy well with big and really well with small teams. Consistently. (Away Version Lower in Post).

OI's are already built in and are important marking assignments for your F9 and WTM's. It keeps them involved on both sides of the ball and strengthens up your D.

Look at those average ratings. And assists. And 57 goals in 12 games. +45 goal difference already.

Costa's got 17 goals and 10 assists in only 7 starts.

LOL City and Liverpool.

I know every tactic should work great with Chelsea (though most don't work this great), but this works really well for small teams too. Sociedad sucks but not with this one.

Corners you want only your Defenders taking them. Doesn't matter if they're Corner rating is 2. Stick them on there and watch the goals fly in. Throw-ins, get someone with a bullet throw and you'll get a goal or two off of them every game.

corners takers DL,DR OR CD

Doesn't matter, just any defender and NO midfield or AM's or F9. Basically just no attackers. I've tried it with DLs and DRs and that works but with Sociedad I've used DC too and it works fine.

Whats the OI? I thought you couldn't load OI into tactics any more and always had to manually set them in the tactics screen...

I just checked on a different computer and steam account and it still works. I guess it's not OI but it's 'Mark Specific Player' instructions for the F9 and the two WTM's. It shows up with every new save I've tried it on, so they should be in there automatically.

I guess it's like a 4-2-4 or something in actual gameplay. Trying a test now to see if it will work with a team as crappy as 2nd Division in Sweden..

Explain this OIs stuff. I dont understand...
Do you use OIs?
Or before every match you manually sets specific marking on F9 and WTm? Who do they mark?

Never used WTM or IWB so how do they work together? Currently using Tottenham and I have Reus on the left, Townsend or Lamela on the right with Harry Kane or Insigne as strikers, would this tactic work with them?

Don't exactly have good tacklers of the ball in midfield aswell as I have Dembele and Bentaleb.

The Specific Marking is already set up with the tactic, so it's plug and play. You don't have to manually set specific marking at all. The F9 marks a Center Mid and the WTM's mark Attacking Mids or Mids, depending on the opposition's lineup.

But it's already set up - you don't have to manually do anything with marking before each game.

Kane will probably score a lot up top. They don't even have to be great in the F9 position. I mean, Costa was scoring buckets for me and he's not really a F9. Zeus and Lamela should be good as WTM's, they can both cut inside and score, which they will do quite a bit, or set up Kane.

Maybe I'll give it a try with Tottenham next...sounds fun :P

Okay thanks alot!

Stupid me, playing with Portsmouth in the EPL, top of the league, won 9 games in a row decide to try this tactic. DISASTER.

Played 3 games, W1 D1 L1, the win was 1-0 with virtually no highlights. All 3 games, very few highlights, **** attacking phase. I should stick to my proven tactic which works well with every team I ever play with, tweaked each time to suit players/teams.

My usual tactic below.

Dang. You're doing something wrong then, cause if it works for a 2nd Division Swedish side, a sh*tty Mexican team, and Chelsea and Sociedad, it should sure as sh*t work for a league-leading Portsmouth in 2019 :P
