My budget is £31M with £220K in wages available.

This is going to be my main tactic... View attachment 123376

What I'm looking for...

CB- First team CB to rotate with Van Diyk and Fonte.

DM- First team player to rotate with Romeu.

Winger- The club doesn't have alot of depth in the wide roles.

Striker- I'm looking for a young ST.

P.S, If anybody can recommend some young talents to sign I'd appreciate it.

ST: Maximilliano Romero
DM: Ruben Neves if you can if not bazoer will be brilliant

CB: Michael Keane you can pick up for 10m
Lw: Narsingh from PSV quality rotation player get him for 3m (worth 8m after half a season)

Buy both Maximilliano Romero and Facundo Colidio, both are quick progressors and will play well.
For CB go for Upamecano.
DM Thiago Maia can normally be unsettled and picked up for 10m and progresses quickly and can do a job.
Left wing - Ramadan Sobhi who is a bargain ( around 5m ) and can play anywhere behind the striker
Right wing - Passlack but personally I would keep an eye out and not buy as during / end of first season you can normally get berardi and junuzaj and it might be better waiting for them

If you are looking for a RW, you can pick up Joaquín for about £2M. Yeah he is 35, but great stats for his ages. Will only last 1-2 seasons tops, but an option if you are running out of budget.

I'll take a look at all of these players cheers!

Has anybody had experience with Callum Gribbin from MUFC? He look insane!

I'd second Bazoer for the middle, seen people have gotten him for as little as 8m, i got him for around 15 in my save but I bid too high too early.

Gribbin is tricky to get off United though.

Niklas Süle is often transfer listed near the start and is a bargain for a CB.
DM has to be Bazoer
Winger - Pavon or Franco Cerv are both pretty good.
Pavon being around the £11m mark.
ST - look up Kuki

wouldn't have gone for caulker myself i think but haven't used him on this one. 11m seems expensive but you filled your needs well!

you could try for some "high profile" loan signings to fill any other need, Martin Odegaard usually goes on loan to a prem club in the first year and some others like him who could do a job for a year do I believe. Janujaz maybe?

I agree, Caulker wasn't a good buy. Would of rather had got Caseres on the free and coped with Fonte/Van/Yosh til he arrives and gets fit.
Lookman hasn't really progressed in any of my saves yet either too be honest.

If you can, try to get Pavon as a Winger/IF he's amazing and has tons of decent PPMS with a Professional personality. Believe he has a release clause of £15~mil but you can get for for £11-12mil

Do you think Duarte is worth that 20m with also snatching sessegnon? All the other business looks great

I'm pretty sure I overpaid him for a bit, I could have got him in around 18m i think. Normally I instantly loan Toni Lato right from the start of the first season with cheap buy-out clue, but I wanted to try something different this time, for Sessegnon, I use him as the backup sub for both LW and LB position, and personally I prefer him playing at LW(AML/winger) than being a LB(wingback).

Is he starting over Targett at LB for you? I bought Jetro Willems for 8m 1st season and 2nd bought Duarte for 15 and Giuseppe Pezzella from Palermo for 12.5m (moved Moreno on for 27.5+ 8.5.) My thinking was that Duarte could rotate with Jetro and Pezzella would be for the future after he developed again but start of 3rd season I loaned Duarte back to Espanyol as he only got 15-20 appearances for me, mostly off the bench, while Pezzella ended up closer to 30 games all starts. I still think Duarte could reach as good as Willems if I want to sell him but right now it's hard to see me finding many games for him and Pezzella is fast become an absolute monster.

If you are after a consistent solid CB try Alejandro Arribas from Coruna he's got a release clause of £4.5 million at the beginning of the game and will happily sign for a good/mid-table English side (his wage demands aren't too bad either). I got him for my United team as a back up player but he has been so consistent he is keeping the likes of Baily, Jones and Smalling out of the side.

You've got a young lad called Callum Slattery in your U18s; in my FM16 save, he went on to play for both Chelsea and Manchester United before I made him captain of Aston Villa. He is a very consistent Deep-Lying Playmaker, if a little fond of yellow cards. Train him to Switch the Ball to Opposite Flank Often. Harrison Reed is a good prospect at DM, if you're prepared to play the long game.

Julian Brandt of Bayer Leverkusen is an excellent young player - AM(R) or IF(L). I watch the Bundesliga Highlights on ITV4 and he was part of the Silver medal-winning Germany team at the Olympics. He was brilliant for me in FM16 and went on to play for Man City and a two-time-title-winning Tottenham. Loan him in if you get the chance and then monitor him closely for a chance to sign him permanently. Here's a YouTube clips reel of the man in action (...just 4 minutes out of your life; be good to your footballing self!) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyha8ojHc0k

If you're playing a possession based game and find yourself operating mostly in the other team's half, consider switching your DLP to the DM position and putting a Ball-Winning Midfielder in the M(C) line. This will enable you to win possession slightly higher up the pitch whilst allowing your DLP that little bit of space and extra freedom to operate like a quarterback by playing the ball out to the flanks or threading Killer Balls Often through the middle. I discovered this trick while at Southampton with Victor Wanyama and Jordie Clasie both in the team.
