A bit of a late call considering it was posted a week ago but players like Yaya Sanogo, Lucas Digne, Funjo Ojo and Thorgan Hazard are all available on loan in first season. They're all relatively cheap too if you've got the cash! What I did was loan them all, got extra to spend on january so bought all but Sanogo for a combined of 6M half way through the season and got Sanogo for free after promotion as his contract runs out.
3rd season and all of them are doing great in the prem!
Jack Cork is a great DLP, but Geremi Ndjitap works **** well too. As for CB, Marco Materazzi is great for that Prem push and finally, Ahmed Soukouna has been a beast for me so far in the Champ, 12 goals in 8 games! I play as Southampton too!
