I have decided to take the reigns at Southampton. They have been gutted in recent times but manage to keep replacing players through a mixture of recruitment and youth development. This is something that really appealed to me. So I have decided to jump straight in and try and bring Southampton up to the top of European football. Although I will be aiming to provide a bit more stability in terms of playing staff turnaround. Here is the club information.

So here is the club information screen.

Not too happy that one of my club icons are playing for who I consider to be a direct rival in the near future. However, there is nothing that can be done about that.

Here is the squad I have to work with.

And here is the budget I have been entrusted with. On this budget the board are expecting a mid table finish. But I am aiming to push for Europa if possible. However it is nice to be able to make this push without the pressure of having to achieve it.

The formation I am going to play is going to effect who I need/want in my squad. I will be playing a 3-5-2 of sorts.

Then for matches where I want to try to see out a result or want to frustrate the opposition I have made this compact tactic designed to be tough to break down but to spring to life when we get possession.

This will involve retraining some players initially to fit my scheme until I can bring my recruitment and youth production in line with the positions I need. There is initial interest in Schneiderlin from Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Madrid. I would prefer not to sell him but if I get a good offer I will happily accept and reinvest in the squad to continue the tradition of the renewable saints. I will post again after the transfer window with the transfers I made and why. I want to create a fast paced, attacking team that entertains on the pitch as well as being financially sustainable off the pitch.

The journey begins here...
