Southampton Tactic Help Please!!!

I've started a new career with Southampton, having turned off the first transfer window transfer budget, to keep the game more realistic, I'm trying to recreate tactics used by Southampton in real life but to no success, I dominate possession and shots but despite all that the opposition seem to get easy goals too often, help would be much appreciated.

Formation: 4231 Deep
Mentality: Control
Fluidity: Standard

STC - Lambert, Role: Target Man (Attack)
AML - Rodriguez, Role: Inside Forward (Attack)
AMC - Ramirez, Role: Attacking Midfielder (Support)
AMR - Lallana, Advanced Playmaker (Support)
DMCL - Schneiderlin, Role: Deep Lying Playmaker (Support)
DMCR - Wanyama, Role: Ball Winning Midfielder (Defend)
DL - Shaw, Role: Wing Back (Automatic)
DCL - Lovren, Role: Central Defender (Defend)
DCR - Fonte, Role: Central Defender (Defend)
DR - Clyne, Role: Wing Back (Automatic)
GK - Boruc, Role: Goalkeeper (Defend)

I use the team instructions of:
- Retain Possession
- Shorter Passing
- Work Ball Into Box
- Look For Overlap
- Push Higher Up
- Hassle Opponents

Any advice or changes would be much appreciated, cheers
