I dont need nor can I hold any more players, i've already purchased 5 youngsters/regens, i still have about $30mil and $300k. My question is this...

Is there a financial benefit to saving it? Is there a downside?

Of course there is benefit. :)

The way I see it, the money is there if you need it - you don't have to spend it. If you are not going to use it put it into the wage budget and the board will be happy since you are showing good financial control. Then if you do actually need it you will have it available to you.

This thread has been worn out like an old pair of nikes. I'm sure searching would turn up a few answers.

searching for something as specific as that question requires multiple attempts in order to narrow it down. It was faster to start a new thread due to the 45 second requirement...

meh, the quick search filter was far more effective than the search box we have now.

I say save your budget. If you don't need to spend now you might need to spend next season and if you save your money now then that budget will be higher :)

check your finances that will tell you how much youve got to spend so you dont go in the red

I've had £50m availavle to me for a whole season with United, just don't need to spend anything of it, and my Wage budget is massive due to offloading several players in the last window, but my finances are in the red so I'm 'scared' of them taking the budget off me.

Save the cash bro. I see too many player spunking cash left, right and centre on the fashionable, sexy players. Each to their own, but not my cup of tea-To coin two cliches in one sentence.

I only buy when necessary. With Spurs i buy no-one until June 2011. With some dodgy Norwegian team it is a different case.

Plough all of your transfer budget into your wage budget so you can earn extra interest on it.
