Hi, in my game im manager of manchester united and when I go to the registration part for the champions league, I cannot register enough home grown players. My problem is the fact that it fails to recognise certain players as home--grown. For example, theres a player called Paddy o'dowd who came through my youth system. I loaned him out to millwall and cardiff for a season each (both teams playing in english football) and the rest of the time he remained at the club.yet when it comes to registering him it doesn't recognise him as any type of home-grown player!! any help would be much appreciated

He has to spend 3 full years at your club before the age of 21. When hes on loan it doesnt count.
Simple solution is to leave a few spots empty. Say if your short 2 players leave 2 free slots in your squad and it will work... Or you could just go on holiday

thanks for your reply steve and I understand that the player has to be at the club for 3 years. However, in the champions league registration part where it says that you have to have at least 8 players trained by a domestic club for 3 years before their 21st birthday, and this player has spent all his career in domestic football yet still isn't classified as this type of home-grown player. I know I can just leave spaces but its still quite annoying
