Hello, I've decided to take on a mission. The mission is to make Stade Rennais a dominating force in the french leauge but also in Champions League :D

The club has awesome possibilites to become a force to reckon with, because the youth facilites are top notch if not the best in France. If I'm lucky, I will recruit top talent in my own club which means I don't have to spend alot of money on foreign players.

Here is a SS of my facilites. You can also see my budget etc. Language is in swedish but i think you will understand most of it anyways.

Junior Coaching: Excellent
Youth Facilities: Excellent
Youth Recruitment: Extensive

Here is all the players I have for my disposal. As you can see my best players are wingers, but I don't like playing with wingers in general so I think I am going to sell them for now, and when I have better players maybe I will go for a winger based tactic.

Tactic
View attachment 370619

This is the tactic I'm going to use in my first season. I will play with three strikers because they are really good for a team like me, and I think I can exploit many teams with these quick, good technique and finishing-strikers.

The basic concept of this tactic is high tempo when in possession, with space for some creative things made by my strikers and two inner CMs. When we loose the ball we want to retrieve it fast, and that's why we are going to pressure our opponents aggressively and very high up the pitch but let our defensive line be low so we don't get caught in counter. But remember, this tactic is not entirely based on counterattacking. It's a mix of high tempo and pressure, but also short passing and creative football.

As you can see my two forwards Nelson Oliveira and Silvio Romero are on loan, therefore there is much pressure on the team to succeed so we can buy two strikers when next season starts, because I doubt we will get such quality players on loan again.

Transfers
I will buy a DC and a CM, because the team is lacking a good box to box midfielder that is good in offensive and defensive play.

I will update later on the transfer part and how my pre season is going. Hope you'll find my story interesting. Also if you have some tips that would benefit my team, I would be very happy if you could share it in this thread :)

I am about to start my own story with these although im sure it will different to yours as I am managing them as part of the director of football challenge. It will be interesting to see how your career goes with them and to see how different your transfers are from the ones my director of football makes

That sounds awesome mate, hope it goes well. It's fun to manage teams in France as they have the best youth facilites in FM. :D

Transfers

Some updates on the transfers being made. I sold my "best player", the winger Pitroipa and got around €6 millions for him. A good sale in my opinion because he is not necessary in my team at the moment.

I'm looking to sell Anders Konradsen also, he is not part of my plans and the dane will move from Rennes to FC Lorient. As you can see his stats is not the best. I wish him all the luck in the future.

As mentioned I bought a CB and CM. I got Gaston Gil Romero for about €4.5 millions. I also got Ragnar Klaven very cheap, around €3.2 millions and he is better than my second CB. Here is a SS of them:

Another funny thing is that I switched captain from Danz? to Armand, because Armand has better leadership quality. Danz? got ****** off and I was forced to transfer list him because he wasn't so happy about it. I looked for a right back and found one that was much better than Danz?.... Soon Danz? will realize he will not get the chance to play in a better team than Rennais.

This is my new right back

And also, I think my transfers are done for now. Lets focus on the games. :)

I have upgraded my junior coaching from excellent to exceptional, which means that the youth player coming through my recruitment will have high CA when generated.

I really hope to see some wonderkids coming through the facilites.

The pre season has now finished. This is how it went. Some mixed results, but no losses.

Decent pre-season mate. Some fantastic wins to inspire some confidence. Good luck with the season ahead!

I'm in march 2014 and soon the season is finished.

This is how it's been going so far
View attachment 370336 My best game was against PSG, where I absolutely trashed them with 5-0. Delighted with that win, gave my players alot of confidence.

As you can see many wins there, but also many draws which I'm a little bit disappointed with because it came against teams that I'm predicted to win.

Also here is the league table

So far so good. Rennais were predicted to end 9th so I'm very pleased with this.

My best goalscorer is Nelson Oliveira who has schored 11 goals, and my best assist man is Julian Feret with 11 assist.

Looks nice mate! Gil Romero is an unpolished diamond - good signing! Be sure to keep Wesley Said in the team - he turned out to be valuable in my Rennes-save. I also led Pitroipa & Konradsen go, they wasn't suited to play in my tactics as plain LM & DM - though Konradsen is Norwegian not Danish ;) Also keep an eye on loanee Silvio Romero - he was bombing away so much I had to sign him permanently. I made it to 2nd season before I got sacked - those board members are tuff! High-five and keep it up!

Said is doing well in my reserves, maybe I'll move him up for the first team in the coming season. Sad to hear mate that you got sacked, I agree they have really high demands! :)

The first season is done!

This is how my team performed the last 15 games. Not as good as the first half of the season. One important game I remember was when we played against PSG. We were bound to win so we could hold on to the second place and not let OM pass us by. They took the lead very early on but we managed to fight back and score a winner goal in the last minutes of the game.

But I finished second in the league!! :D Which means that I'm qualified for CL!

My best players were Jean Makoun and Nelson Olivieira, though he was missing for a month because of a groin injury.

I also signed a portugese regen who looked interesting, better than my own regens. He is only 16 years old and have five stars according to my scout (I believe he actually has 4 stars-potential ability, but never mind). He only cost me €0,6 millions.

Hi guys, I played through second season, but I was so lazy so I didn't take any SS and also I've been sick lately so I didn't really have the energy to keep up my story on FMB.

Unfortunately I couldn't hold up the victories I had the first season, which lead to the last place in my group that contained Galatasaray, Barcelona and Porto. I also had some **** games in the leauge which resulted in a 6th place in the leauge. Which is far more realistic I believe, for my Stade Rennais.

Soon I will upload some photos of my team for season 15 and also you'll see how my regens are doing so far in their development. But first: time for watching BiH - Nigeria in world cup. :)
