Mark Peters appointed manager
Londoner signs contract until end of season
Gateshead Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Peters as club manager. Peters will become the club and league's youngest ever manager at the age of 26. Club chairman Graham Wood has told us of his delight at Peters' appointment. Wood told us;
I'm delighted Mark took up our offer to manage the club on an initial deal until the end of the season. Despite his age of just 27, Mark has a UEFA Pro Licence and has worked with Premier League clubs at a coaching capacity. Mark's playing career was cut short after a car accident ended his career eight years ago. Mark put forward a vision to rebuild the squad and staff was something I couldn't pass on. Mark has references from Premier League teams and English coaches which made him the outstanding candidate. I wish Mark every success during his time here and I hope the club achieve great things under his management.

Mark's first game in charge will be Gateshead's FA Cup second round tie against Macclesfield Town at Moss Park.

Looks good, will follow.
