starting new games

hello i have been playing as liverpool a lot as they are the love of my life, how every i think i have restarted the game to many times that i now find it every hard to sell players, where as when i 1st bought the game i could sell lots of people eg, joe cole and downing. but now i cant sell any of them, would this problem be solved if uninstalled it then reinstalled it? i bought it on steam if that makes any difference.
