Starting with the team you support.

Anyone done this? I'm one for starting in league 2 and have been since the 05 game. But on this occasion i have started again one to many times and am bored of league 2 now but want to carry on playing the game. So have started a save as Crystal Palace and just wondering if anyone else has done this and what they think?
 
I'm a Liverpool fan but it always works against me because I like to clear out the **** players we have and get more players and I get annoyed when nobody buys them and I go elsewhere.

I do tend to enjoy the game more when I start as a team I know nothing about though.
 
yeah i too am a liverpool fan and have started several saves with them, but it gets annoying when none of your **** players are getting bought

the save i have been on the longest is with Eastleigh of Blue Square South im now in the championship
 
I'd imagine most people start off with the team they support. I think it is more enjoyable as you have an affection with the club and it is great to win leagues and cups with the team you support.
 
Always start off with the team I support.. but FM always either under or over-rates our players too much.
 
Nope, I always start at one of the big four to get to grips with the game. Well that's my preference, anyway.
 
Started a save with Manchester United and was first for the majority of the year and then slumped into third or fourth. Then splahed ridiculous money and got bored. I don't do this often, and just rather find a club in Europe and build them up.

Last year, I started out at Juventus. Now, I am Atletico Madrid. Enjoying it so far and my longest save currently.

And no, I never play my favourite teams unless I get offered a contract later in the game of course. I don't even appoint my favourite team in the game.
 
always have a Man united game on the go but find my longer games are when i am lesser clubs.
 
I usually do. I didn't do this season because the first season would be extremely boring because they (AGF) are in the second best Danish league and by far the best team
 
I can't get into managing teams other than the ones I support. I find it extremely difficult to built up the motivation to continue managing a team I have no affiliations with.
 
my first game of any FM game is with my home town club and the club i have a season ticket at, Plymouth argyle its going to be difficult next season league 2 and prob no budget but still fun when it works out :)
 
My first save is always with Liverpool.

I suppose if I supported a lower league team I might, but I prefer building a team than having one already made for me.

a soluition to our problem is fc united!!
 
I always start with Liverpool. Last year I got up to 2017 with them. This year I'm in 2026 right now.
