ive just started a save with my local team hayes and yeading.

what are the best stats to look for in players?

Ive never been one to look at mental or physical. mainly go on technical but dont this this will be to useful in this save.

I usually look at good determination and work rate along with ok technical and physicals as they seem to pick up a lot more second balls and loose balls meaning they get more of the ball and seem to have a bigger drive and grit to win

Stamina - Workrate - Pace - usually.

In most cases i'll look to pair an old head with high tech/low physical with a rookie low tech/high physical to off set.. the kid makes the runs, the legend makes the pass. :)

Depends on the position they play and what role. Determination and work rate are good ones to look for. Striker that has good pace and acceleration for the league is also a big bonus. Just play a long ball tactic over their backline and have him on the end. Generally works quite well until you start to meet teams that can actually defend a long ball in the football league.
