Hi,

I run steam offline because I have a few things changed on FM - comp names & unlocked german team etc, if I put Steam online to use it would it redownload over my changed files?

thanks

Hi Chris,

Those additional files that you have put into your game are extras. Steam does not have equivalent updated or replacement versions of them so it will just ignore them during its update. The specific piece of coding that instructs your game to refer to those extra files is not likely to change, so you'll be fine if you just leave Steam switched on.

Occasionally I have to play offline if the internet connection has dropped out when Steam attempted to update. So I just click the Play Offline button. The game operates and saves as normal and the Steam update catches up when the internet connection comes back on or the next time I load up the game.

To get the German team, did you actually download some files, or just delete the 'fake' folder? If you just deleted the folder, it will create that again (Although it won't affect your current save)
